INTRODUCTION
David Blower has been trading as The Milford Collection since March 1985. He has actively engaged in supplying a wide range of goods to the General Gift Trade and manufacturing on OEM basis to third parties. David Blower has a broad experience of Sales and Marketing and has exhibited at numerous Trade Fairs in Europe and the USA.

BACKGROUND
The Milford Collection is well established in the United Kingdom as a supplier of Pot Pourri, Fragrance Oils, Bath Blitza and Soap. They have a customer base of over 2,000 accounts which has included :-
Sainsbury Homebase; Birthdays; Wyevale Garden Centres; Grosvenor of London plc ;
Gaughan Associates Ltd; Jackel International; Boots the Chemist, Revlon.
They also have distributors in Italy, Germany, Austria, Sweden and the USA.

PRODUCTION
The Milford Collection currently operate out of various units of more than 12,000 sq.ft.
At present, the Company employ 15 full-time staff which increases to allow for the extra seasonal workload between Easter and Christmas. There is a large pool of semi-skilled labour in the area who are called upon on a part-time basis as needs dictate. Production equipment includes Shrink Wrapping and Flow Wrapping machines and semi automatic Electronic Liquid Filling Machine.

In September 2001 TheMilford Collection acquired the business of Huw Jones Lovespoons which employs 4 people occupying 1,000sq.ft. on the Lion Works, Newtown In June 2002 we were appointed the exclusive UK Distributors for Ceramica Meditteranea, a Spanish co-operative of a number of Andulucian based Ceramic manufacturers.

Quality Management Sustems
In association with the Wales Quality Centre, the Milford Collection is currently working towards ISO 9000:2000 accreditation. The company is adequately resourced and functions to established Quality management controls that are designed to satisfy both the company’s and Client needs.
Controls are built into process documentation to ensure that self audit QC techniques are completed to a set schedule. Good Management Policies are implemented throughout the manufacturing facility.
